Under the name of Laelia of June on social media, I am a versatile artist. As far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a pencil in hand. Unlike many people, my passion for drawing never left me once childhood was over. I love discovering new mediums, and my favorite subjects are fantasy and mythical creatures such as witches, vampires, fairies, undines, and more. Inspired by stories and legends from all over the world, I love telling wonderful tales. As a child, I dreamed of becoming a writer. In high school, I took film classes, and that’s how I’ve since combined my two passions for storytelling and drawing into illustration and comics.

I bring my ideas to life mainly through a graphic tablet, but I also love reconnecting with my love for traditional techniques such as watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint, showcasing my love for colors. Inspired as much by Japanese manga as by Franco-Belgian comics, I try to highlight different, quirky characters, fantastic stories, and expressive color palettes in my work, creating a comforting atmosphere in my illustrations. Indeed, all I want is to help people forget the gloom of life on Earth.
